Newport is the cutest little town! Our best night there, by far, was the one spent on the beach flying kites at sunset. It’s no surprise that fishing is the local industry, and it is such a treat to see the different industries at work. We watched one fishing boat drive out while another drove in, and saw crew members clean, cut, and sell fish. It takes many roles to make the fishing operation function safely, and it is most definitely a focus of ours to make sure the kids witness these roles in multiple industries in hopes it’ll better prepare them for making career decisions.
